How To

Repairing A Damaged Drone Motor

The first step toward repairing a damaged motor is to identify what part of the motor is broken. The best way to do so is to take the propeller off the motor shaft. You should then remove the wires that are attached to the motor, and examine the inner workings. If you see something wrong, then you know what part of the motor you have to fix.

If the motor is in good condition, you shouldn't worry. But if it looks like one of the images below, you will need to replace parts before you can fly again.

Suppose a motor has been bent up so it won't turn anymore. To get the motor to turn again, you'll need to bend it. For this purpose, you could use a vice grip to hold the motor and bend it back into shape. After you're done, check your motor for signs of wear.

Once everything is in order, attach the propeller to the motor shaft. Your drone is now ready for flight!
